Professional Liability & Regulation

We act as counsel in a diverse landscape of regulatory, civil and quasi-criminal matters, including the BC CPA and the Law Society of BC.  The stakes are often high for professionals in disciplinary and regulatory tribunals and court. We have significant experience navigating these difficult and complex cases through a successful resolution whether at a hearing or through resolution.

Securities Regulation

We extensive experience with securities matters from the investigation stage through a hearing at the BC Securities Commission on all matters, including claims of misrepresentations, fraud and other public interest charges. 

In any securities matter, we recognize that the best outcome typically avoids regulatory proceedings – and adverse media attention – altogether. To that end, we provide strategic counsel and advice to registrants, investment advisors, and other market participants, both before and during investigations. Where a hearing cannot be avoided, we have the experience to defend any contested regulatory hearings.
